Open letter to Mr BOC,

After 7 years of entrepreneurship I am doubting whether to continue doing business in Transylvania. I will tell you why :

1--NO HIGHWAY SINCE 2012 Today in 2015 there is still no highway connecting Cluj with Europe !

2--ROMANIA IS NOT A MEMBER OF SCHENGEN Since 2011 this decision has been postponed yearly, because of corruption and total lack of transparency. As an entrepreneur I am suffering very high hidden costs because of this!

3-- NO TRUE EUROPEAN CITIZENSHIP SINCE 2007 There is no true European spirit of brotherhood, since Europeans are second rang citizens in Romania, besides I’m confronted with skepticism about Romania’s EU membership in the Netherlands, since 5800 Romanians citizens are arrested yearly because of  theft, skimming, pocket picking  or violent robbing of  mostly elderly Dutch People.

4-- NO EUROPEAN PURCHASING POWER SINCE 2007 After 7 years of EU membership the minimum wage is 237 Euro and in Western Europe it is about 1500!

5--NO EUROPEAN CORE VALUES SINCE 2014  A multilingual town sign is an icon of European identity and  required by Romanian law, the legal arguments of court order 4800/2014 have never been repudiated by a Romanian court. Denying the linguistic rights of an autonomous language is without precedent in the European Union and the Schengen zone.   I was flabbergasted when I  found  out, that you recently did everything, but everything in your power not to place these multilingual town signs reading Cluj-Napoca - Kolozsvár-Klausenburg I’m convinced that this explains why the first three pillars of European Integration have not been met.

Mr Boc  please allow the Foundation European Language Rights Amsterdam to place these signs and thereby comply with European Core values. If you still don’t want these signs, then please put the same effort you did in preventing point 5 to achieving the first 4 points. Well at least let me know when point 1 till 4 will be accomplished.

Yours sincerely,

Drs. G.Landman Director Landman Consulting Services   European Citizen and entrepreneur.

p.s. I find it very frustrating that you portray ethnic Romanians as nationalistic and xenophobic people who are so intolerant that they cannot even deal  with an icon of European identity, namely a multilingual town sign,  I think this is rather unfair to them
